"School on Site” is an educational material focusing on how the construction sector can be used as a case in different types of teaching.
The material has 4 themes: 1) safety 2) the construction sector in general 3) educations/careers 4) from drawing to building.
The material encourages teachers to collaborate with local businesses and visit a building site, a construction company, an architect, a vocational education school etc.
The material is based on a project in which 20 primary school pupils and their teacher shadowed a building site every month from early start until the building was finished. Several of the pupils from the project went on to vocational education.
